Today I received my Disability notice in the mail. I was afraid to open it, as most people get denied first time they file. I was one of the lucky ones as after opening the letter I saw that I qualified for disability. I received a big check with it, which paid me back 1 year as it was 1 year ago that I became mentally ill and was let go from my job. I will receive checks every 3rd of the month as long as I remain disabled. I also qualify for medicare which means I will have insurance for my health needs. This is a great burden lifted off of my and my wife's backs as we have been scraping by just to make ends meet. Now with the chance for better health care I am hopeful I can better combat my illness and get back to how I used to be.
I got to talk to my friend Jewel yesterday, and all I can say is what a dear friend she is and how much having a friend to talk to means to me. Thank you Jewel for being the sweet friend you are.
Finally I stand with the millions that condemn the murders at the Paris office of Charlie Hebdo. Freedom of speech is a cherished right to all of western society and in some Muslim dominated countries as well. Let your voice be heard "Je Suis Charlie"...
My continued prayers to my friend Samira, Birgit, Dee, Chas, Selina, and Flori
