Forget me, for I am beyond redemption.
What is a moment, when quickly it's gone?
Regret is the light that I travel by now,
beneath my feet only sorrow I tread.
Love me, and tell me that all will be well.
Remember that words really can hurt you!
Actions have never spoke louder than words,
sweet nothings, my dear, really are something!
Pity me, but not for the mistakes I've made;
rather pity the child that never was,
and the man who has to keep dark secrets.
Plenty, are those that just want to forget.
Pray for me that God takes the pain away,
I'm so tired of being angry and afraid.
Let him take this child trapped inside of me,
and finally give him the love he needs.
I care not for myself, only the boy.
I've had the life he could only dream of.
This is the guilt I will bear to the grave.
Forget me, for I am beyond redemption...
